About LAC
Hello! I'm Emma Bailey, and I am so glad you are here.
I sort of stumbled into embroidery after I bought a used embroidery machine off of Facebook Marketplace. I had no idea how much I would end up loving embroidery, and that it would eventually allow me to start my own business and quit my job. From the beginning my goal for this business was to create meaningful items for my customers while being a light for Jesus!
"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17

A Little About My Family
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Elliot, and he is my biggest supporter and helper in Little Abner Co.
We both graduated from Clemson University with engineering degrees in 2016 (Go Tigers!!). I studied biomedical engineering, and Elliot studied mechanical engineering. After college we got married, and then immediately moved to Springboro, OH for Elliot's job. While in Springboro, we had two sweet babies, Eloise and Rhett. Eloise is currently 2, and Rhett is 5 months. They keep us so busy in the best way!! We just recently moved back home to Greenville, SC, and it has been so good to be back, but we do miss Ohio a lot!
My First Machine
Several months after Eloise was born, I found a used embroidery machine for sale on Facebook, and I decided to buy it so I could learn how to monogram things for her. The first thing I ever made her was a little cheerleader onesie (lets just say I have gotten a lot better since then haha!).
I posted a picture of her wearing it, and a few people started to message me asking if I was taking orders. A couple weeks later, I decided to take a few orders. Within a month I had so much interest, and Elliot and I knew we had to decide what this was going to be. We prayed about it and decided to start a business. On October 31, 2019 Little Abner Co. was born!!
The Meaning Behind the Name
We tragically lost my dad, Craig, in June of 2017 to glioblastoma. We had absolutely no idea he had a softball sized brain tumor. It all happened so quickly, and it was the saddest and hardest thing I have ever faced in my life. We miss him so much!
I knew right away when I decided to start a business that I wanted to name it after my dad. His nickname in high school was Lil Abner, and that is how the name Little Abner Co. came to be!
Thank you so much for visiting my website. Every order truly means so much to us, and we can't thank you enough for your support!
